Sisoft Sandra 2002

Sisoft Sandra is a widely used banchmark which enables us to test many aspects of a system such as the memory subsytem performance, CPU performance in both arithmetic and multimedia applications, file system speed, and more. It does incorporate some comparison data, but for these benchmarks, we will be comparing to another board which was used on the same tesbed for accuracy's sake.

As we can see above, teh SIS650 based Gigabyte 8SIML does an excellent job in keeping up with the powerhouse Intel845 motherboard. The SIS650 board even surpassed the Intel845 board by a good 150 points in the CPU Arithmetic ALU benchmark!

Madonion PCMARK 2002

A new benchmark from MadOnion, that tests 3 different aspects of your PC's performance, the HDD performance, the CPU performance, and the Memory performance.

Once again, the SIS650 does an excellent job, returning practically identical results to its rival the i845.
