Spire Whisper Rock IV Socket A Cooler

Review Date: 5th August 2003

Product: Spire Whisper Rock IV Socket A Cooler
Rating: 95%
Manufacturer: Spire
Supplier: LowNoise PC

Conclusion

After completing the testing of this cooler, I was actually surprised. Not only did it manage to equal the performance of its younger sibling, the Spire Falcon Rock II, it managed to do so at a lower noise level. The excellent performance, low noise levels, and coupled with the excellent price of just AU$35 (from LowNoise PC) make this cooler an excellent choice for all overclockers. The only downside I could possibly see with this cooler (and it is only a minor downside) is that it requires a screwdriver to install, which some people dont feel comfortable doing.

Pros

  • Very Quiet
  • Excellent Performance
  • Cheap

    Cons

  • Screwdriver required for installation

    Overall Rating – 95%
